The important archaeological findings on the island Despotiko have led the ministry to declare it an «archaeological park», island – museum that still hides many treasures, as the excavations are still in progress.
2. Strogilo Uninhabited, rocky island that was created by geological activity in the Aegean Sea, between Paros and Antiparos.

3. Saliagos A small bare island situated between Paros and Antiparos is home to an ancient settlement dated back in the Neolithic Period at around 4000 BC Because of its location, it was of great importance in the control of the narrow sea channel between the islands. Saliagos along with Mavri Spilia in Mikonos, Vouni in Antiparos and Agrilia in Milos also constitute the so-called «Civilisation of Saliagos», which reveals to us that the people of the time were sea-farers.
The findings on the island Saliagos include bone tools, spoons made of mussels, hoes and various receptacles and statuettes.
Among the statuettes, the Fat Lady of Saliagos is the oldest marble statuette ever found in the Cyclades.
